Cabbage Roll Casserole

3 cups shredded cabbage
1 pound of lean ground beef
1 onion chopped fine
6 tablespoons uncooked rice
2 cans tomato soup or 2 cups tomato sauce
1 cup water
1 teaspoon salt

Grease casserole dish. Cook ground beef and onion and salt together in frying pan till the meat looses it's red color. Place in layers the cabbage, ground beef onion mixture and rice in casserole. Mix tomato soup/sauce with water and pour over cabbage and meat layers. Bake for 1 and 1/2 hours at 325F. Check in between to make sure there is enough liquid. Add more water if needed.
