Coffee Cake

Serve for morning or afternoon coffee break or as an evening Bible study dessert.

My Coffee Cake
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/3 cup sour cream
1/4 cup milk
2 eggs
1 and 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Topping:
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons melted margarine
1 and 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon water

In medium mixing bowl, beat together the brown sugar, butter, sour cream, milk and eggs with electric mixer. In separate small bowl combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Now add flour mixture to sugar/egg mixture and stir well to blend.
Spread half of batter into a 9x9 inch greased baking pan.  Combine topping ingredients and spread half of topping over batter. Now spread remaining batter over topping, then place remaining topping over batter. Bake at 375 F for 30 - 35 minutes till done and a nice golden brown.
