Dream Cake

A nice light white cake - top with your favorite pie filling and whipped topping - a delicious and easy dessert!
Dream Cake

5 eggs
1 cup white granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup flour

Grease 2 pans - 9x13 inch.
In medium sized mixing bowl beat the eggs until foamy using electric mixer.   Add salt and vanilla and beat again. Now gradually add the sugar, continue to beat until the mixture becomes thick and light about 5 minutes. Add the baking powder and flour and beat well to blend in. Pour batter into the 2 pans. Bake in preheated 375F oven for 12-15 minutes until done and golden brown. Cool completely.
Now top with your favorite pie filling. I have used lemon or cherry. Spread evenly to cover the cake. Whip your favorite topping - whipped cream, sweetened or use nutriwhip or cool whip. I most always use the nutriwhip as the cake keeps well in the fridge for several days.
